Welcome to Ink & Ash, the place where I share the things that don't always fit between the covers. You'll find stories behind my books, fascinating bits of history I stumbled across while researching, lessons I'm learning about writing and publishing, and the occasional thought about taking chances, chasing dreams, and figuring things out as we go.

Some days we'll talk Vikings. Other days it might be vampires, ancient civilizations, writing, publishing, or why I somehow lost three hours researching something that eventually became two sentences in a novel.
